Opening remarks were given by the Director of 体育运动, LTC Steve Wilson (VA). Wilson said, “学员, I respect you – for your commitment 和 discipline to be at 费什伯恩. With an early wake-up time, 完整的学习Schedule, 除此之外, going above 和 beyond playing a sport, 这并不容易. But the plan at 费什伯恩 is to take that discipline 和 make leaders of all of you.”
Following Wilson’s remarks, FMS President COL R和al E. Brown (VA) gave a formal introduction to the guest speaker for the evening, Mr. Scott Simons of CMA’s Valley Dealerships. 布朗说, “Scott Simons started selling cars over 26 years ago, 通过血液, 汗水, 眼泪, 还有多年的积蓄, he finally realized the dream of buying into his first car dealership 12 years ago. The Simons family are proud supporters of 费什伯恩 Military School, 和 for the past four years have donating $100,000 per year through the Virginia Department of Education to provide scholarships through VDOE for students attending FMS. FMS is honored to have a leader of the Shen和oah Valley as an active philanthropist of 费什伯恩. The school cannot express enough gratitude for his family’s generosity.
Simons说, “Years ago 费什伯恩 Military School helped our little league football team by providing a field for our team to practice on. Without asking for anything in return, 费什伯恩 welcomed us. Years later it came full circle, 和 I was able to thank them by supporting them through VDOE.”

Winner of the James Hogg Award as MVP with the highest GPA was awarded to Stephan Fuschich, 2023届毕业生. For football – MVP was awarded to Justin Madden, 教练’ Award to Chase Altis, Caisson Hustle Award to Grayson Jones, Iron Caisson Award to Asher Floyd, 和 Most Improved to Micah Reyes. 足球 awarded MVP to Stephan Fuschich 和 Most Improved to Zachary Carroll. 越野 awarded MVP to Ethan Simpson, the Caisson Hustle Award to Benjamin Gilroy, 和 Most Improved to Julius Gardner.
The ceremony was concluded with remarks by graduating senior Chase Altis, 2023届毕业生. Altis said, “At first I thought, ‘I don’t want to go to military school!’ But I wanted to play football, 和 this was my opportunity. 结果, the support you get from admissions, 老师, 教练, everybody at 费什伯恩— you don’t get that at any other school.
