Fishburne offers a variety of self-paced, mastery based language courses for native and non-native English speakers。Modern language courses are designed to prepare students for university admission。

English for non-native speakers

Four levels of Spanish and three levels of English are available for non-native English speakers。

Spanish me

First year Spanish covers basic pronunciation, grammar and translation。Introducing the culture, history and literature of the Spanish-speaking world through readings and activities。Classes are conducted in Spanish whenever possible to build a working vocabulary。

Spanish II

The second year of Spanish focuses on developing speaking and writing skills。The continuous development of vocabulary is the main goal, along with an in-depth study of grammar and syntax。The development of cultural appreciation continues。

Spanish tris

Year 3 Spanish Continues with vocabulary and grammar starting with Spanish I。Coursework includes readings of Spanish literature, which can be used through online works and textbook extensions。

Spanish four

The fourth year of Spanish is devoted to more vocabulary building and fine-tuning of grammar skills。Written assignments are a regular part of the course。These assignments are generated by studying the literary works of major writers in Spanish and discussing these works in Spanish。

English reading and writing

This course is aimed at students from countries where English is not their native language。It aims to develop grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking, as well as reading and writing skills so that students can communicate functionally both inside and outside the classroom。The teaching of this course relies heavily on an online course called USA Learns。Students use an online program and are supervised by an on-site instructor who provides assistance as needed。Upon completion of the USA Learns program, students will begin courses to prepare for the TOEFL test。
